Due to the increased popularity of these units, we challenged our engineers to develop a series of in-dash DVD players with built-in monitors that would provide a high quality, yet affordable entertainment solution for 12-volt system builders. The SD709MBI is the flagship multimedia unit from SSL. It is a Bluetooth enabled in-dash single DIN DVD/MP3/CD AM/FM receiver with FULL iPod control (cable included) and a motorized, flip-out 7” widescreen touchscreen monitor. This unit also features USB and SD/MMC card ports and a front panel 3.5mm A/V input. Screen resolution of 1440 x 234 pixels, brightness of 600 NITS, and wide angle/off-axis visibility helps effectively keep passengers entertained. Addition features include vertical angle adjustment, on-screen menu display, NTSC/PAL compatible monitor, a PLL synthesized tuner with 30 station presets, and switchable USA/European frequencies. This unit provides maximum flexibility with separate bass and treble adjustment and balance and fader controls, dual audio stereo/video RCA outputs for system building, a subwoofer RCA output, and a wireless remote control. This unit also boasts a rear view camera RCA input with trigger wire that will automatically switch the monitor to the camera input when the vehicle is put in reverse. first off i got this unit because i wanted to try something new and inexpensive (not cheap)so i looked into this unit,it has a lot of good features bluetooth that connects automatically when you start car up,has like a 5sec delay when connecting..has an built on ipod/ipad/iphone reader the cord is included,which works nice has sd card which i have used 4gig chip, usb can is another source of media also it is all included...it has an fairly good equalizer not the best but can make your music sound pretty good,tried out the reverse camera which has like a 2sec delay but comes through real clear...it has a set up for subwoofers and speakers ,at this time i have none so cant tell you about the output,unit puts out good sound with my factory bmw speakers which arent that good when usicg my factory bmw head unit....dvd quiality is real good not HD but maybe a med-quality walmart tv whih is not bad, screen slides in/out smoothly with no hesitations...ive so far tried mp3,dvd,mpeg,and iphone which comes through good no problems whether you have a lot of music or a little it still loads them quick there is a 2-3 sec delay when reading disc though,havent had any problems so far, there will be an update!!!!...CONS:screen way to simple (some ppl like simple i dnt) no GPS (which would make this unit perfect) no real way to sort through all your music (talking hundreds of mp3songs) screen a little stiff when scrolling around (havent found a screen yet thats more responsive to fingers)pros: adjustable screen (no tint needed to view screen) quickly loads all my music (im talking seconds) all the different medias it take (++) touch screenother than that its a outstanding unit... amazon has it priced at almost 400 i got it way cheaper not worth almost 400 but the 200 i payed for it,well worth every penny
