I bought an Audiovox MMD102 several years ago and never had any issues with it until last year when it just stopped working. I figured the easiest way to switch it out was to go with another Audiovox DVD player. I searched around and decided to go with the MMD11. The first one I received had issues right away. The eject button on the player did not work and when you started playing a DVD after a couple of minutes it made a horrible noise. I took advantage of Amazon's return policy (I can't say enough about Amazon's return policy -- it's great and easy!). The next unit I received worked better, but still makes a noise when going over bumps in the road. It sounds like the fan is loose and when you hit a bump it hits the housing. I decided I could live with it, so we kept the player. One last complaint, the first Audiovox player came with a thick plastic trim ring. This allowed the player to be installed in any vehicle. The MMD11 comes with a trim ring, but it cannot be trimmed to fit the headliner. When I inquired about a better solution, Audiovox (their customer support stinks!) said they had one for a different model that might fit. Why the heck don't they know if it will fit? For the $40 dollars it cost, I wasn't willing to try it so I made one out of wood. Not something I would recommend for everyone.I have had it now for just over a month and it has gotten quite a bit of use; the fan noise has gotten a little better, only makes a noise on fairly bumpy roads.
