By Rob
The video quality is good - ease of use is good too. However, depending on where you live or travel you can have trouble with the sound quality. Since the sound uses low radio frequencies you can get a lot of interference which make it near impossible to hear. If you are traveling through cities then it is next to impossible to find a radio frequency that you can listen to. You cannot change radio stations from the front seat when you have interference. It's a pain traveling as you hit lots of interference in various places. I would much prefer a system that is hardwired through my car speakers. You can also use wireless headphone to hear the sound. However, they are not without issues either. If you tilt your head so the infared in not in direct line of site of the unit, the sound goes out. If you have a 3 year old using them then it goes out a lot as a 3 year old does not sit still! Also the headphones are rather large and uncomfortable. My child (the reason we got a DVD player to begin with) cannot wear the headphones as they are too big for him and they do not make smaller headphone so I have to listen through my radio.Overall, I am very unhappy with the options. Had I know the issues with this unit I would have opted for a factory installed unit, more expensive - yes but I would have been able to use it as this unit was just a big waste of money for my intentions. There is no option to use wired headphone either which would be a good option for us as I could buy kid headphones.... Buyer beware!
