The system comes with the heavy Duty Quick connect/disconnect which allows easy access between your truck and trailer. The cable length of the camera cable on travel trailer side is 66' and the cable length of the truck side is 26'.

I'm very happy with the rear view camera equipment in this package. The camera, brackets, monitor and the quick connect hardware all appear to be of very good quality and the camera image in the monitor is excellent. I especially like the quick connect system, which makes it extremely easy to connect when hooking up the trailer. We recently took an 800 mile trip from south florida up into the Smoky Mountains and traveling with this set up made a huge difference. With the camera continuously on I was always able to glance at the monitor (like a rearview mirror) to see who was behind me when I was changing lanes or backing up. And the image in the monitor is excellent, both day and night. It was actually better at night as the daytime sunshine coming through the windshield would sometimes make the image in the monitor a bit washed out but still good enough to see behind. The only real negative about this package is the installation directions - they're kind of short on specifics. But if you have some experience in wiring accessories like a brake controller or a radio, then you'll be able to handle this project. If you have a travel trailer this would be an terrific investment. It's an excellent product that's reasonably priced, restores confidence and reduces stress while pulling a travel trailer.

I tow a fifth wheel trailer and wanted to double tow my boat behind that. I could not see the boat, even in curves, so I was towing it "blind". I had no idea if it was even still back there. I ordered this system. It was shipped the next day and I received it in 4 days. Installation was easy, instructions were simple and clear. In fact, the worst part was having to drill a hole in the back of my trailer. An easy task, but difficult because of the concern that it might be wrong. No problems, it went well and the rest of the installation was just as easy. I ran the cable for the camera through a back cabinet, down the corner and then drilled another hole to get it under the trailer. Under the trailer, I used tie-wraps to secure it to the framework, and at the pinbox, I installed the connector alongside the trailer pigtail. The truck was also easy, just had to drill a 1 1/8" hole in the bed to route the truck end cable to the cab and plug in the monitor, connect 12VDC power and install the connector between the trailer and the truck.I had problems with one of the cables, called RVS and they sent out a replacement cable that same day. Excellent customer service and great tech support.Once I had the replacement cable, installed it and had a clear picture of the boat behind the trailer. Now towing isn't blind, in fact, it's in full living color.Excellent choice for a rear view system that's very reasonable in price and made with quality material. Should last for quite a while. I'd buy it again without question.

I installed this on my 31 foot fifth wheel camper for easier backing up and while driving on the highway. The camera work's very well. It allows me to see the next lane over within 10 feet from the back of the camper, which makes lane changes safer knowing the vehicles are clear of the camper. Picture quality is pretty good, it is color, but it is had to make out the color on the screen. The connection between the truck and camper is great. The coiled cable easily extends long enough, so even if I have to jackknife the trailer into a spot I don't need to disconnect it. The only thing I wish was a little different is the connection for the screen. The screen has a hard wired connect with about 5 feet of wire and is meant to connect furter behind the dash of the vehicle. However I do not like to leave a 7 inch screen mounted to my dash (Just gives someone a reason to break into your vehicle) It would be better to have a connection right on the screen so you could unplug it and remove the screen when not in use. I just coiled up the extra cable and leave it laying on the dash when I am using it, which work's fine, but look's sloppy. Overall I am happy with this camera system for my use.
